🌾 Guttland — the good land

Guttland

The centre and west, named for its fertile soil in contrast to the Éislek. It is the Luxembourgish compromise par excellence: twenty or thirty minutes from Kirchberg, with space and schools, and rents that climb the closer you get. The Alzette valley and the Eisch valley — the Valley of the Seven Castles — form its spine.

These regions are not administrative units and they overlap — the Nordstad sits in both the Éislek and the Guttland. The split follows the tourist regions published by Visit Luxembourg, plus the Nordstad, which is a real six-commune grouping; where an edge is fuzzy, a commune is assigned on its canton.
